Recent and Up Coming Events
The City of Steamboat Springs hired six additional full time firefighters in April 2007. With these new hires there will be a total of 6 full time staff per shift. This is a huge leap forward for our city and department. We are also happy to say that all six have become members of the IAFF and CPFF. Welcome Todd DiNoble, Chris Moore, Robert Davis, Joe Oakland, Leighton White and Troy Kuhl to the brotherhood.
Steamboat Springs Professional Firefighters are participating in the Relay For Life Cancer Walk. If you would like to
make a donation please click on the link. Relay For LifeĀ® is a community-wide, fun-filled overnight event designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer in our community. At the event, we celebrate our survivors, honor those we have lost and raise money to help the American Cancer Society in its mission to save lives, help those who have been touched by cancer, and empower individuals to fight back. During the event, teams of people gather at the Steamboat Springs High School Athletic Field and take turns walking or running laps around the track. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.
